I painted and drew from life since Elementary School. Did hundreds of drawings and sketches from life! I cannot stress the importance of working from nature as much as possible. It’s the effort to truly learn to see that counts. There are invaluable critical lessons you will use in all your future work. All this experience informs my current Abstract works! Here is a sketch from 1992. Teacher : Max Ginsburg Oil on illustration board.

Working on Loopy, Jeff Koons, oil on canvas, at Sonnabend Gallery when it was in Soho in 1999. We got to paint many works the way I love to work, quickly with a big brush! These were so much fun.
In 1996 I started working for Jeff Koons and later that year became the painting studio manager for 5 years. The Koons experience lasted 23 years. The Celebration series was fun because I got to create the drawing breakdowns like this paint by numbers painting, Ribbon. oil on canvas.
We re-created 50 old master paintings for Jeff Koons Gazing ball Exhibition at Gagosian Gallery 2013.
Enjoyed working on over 100 paintings and some sculptures for Jeff Koons. These are acrylic on wood.
